General Mathematics Seminar

The Mathematics Seminar is an open forum for interdisciplinary exchange as well as for exchange between various fields inside mathematics.

Goals:

  • Promotion of the dialogue between different domains of science
  • Organization of talks by foreign mathematicians
  • Endorsement of joint research efforts
  • Propagation of the mathematical culture

Current topics (to be extended):

  • Algebra
  • Geometry (in connection with Mathematical Physics)
  • Non-commutative Harmonic Analysis
  • Probability Theory

Sessions:

Seminar sessions take place nearly each Tuesday, at 5 pm at Campus Kirchberg, room B02. Participants are kindly invited to tea ahead of the seminar session, each Tuesday about 4.30 pm at the Mathematics Research Unit (venue: Building G, kitchen on floor 1).
