Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, Dirk Zetzsche, has been named as a Top Law Author in 2020 by SSRN, the open-access online database of early scholarly research. SSRN releases a monthly ranking of authors according to total downloads of their submitted papers in the past twelve months. The SSRN Legal Scholars Network counts a total of 140,672 authors. 

Prof. Zetzsche’s research interests lie in the regulation of emerging financial technologies, inclusive and sustainable finance . As of 1 December 2020, Prof. Zetzsche’s papers have been downloaded in the last twelve months 22,302 times, qualifying him for 4th place out of a pool of 3,000 contributors representing the world's most productive law scholars. Prof. Zetzsche’s papers also performed well in terms of downloads per paper with a total average of 1,292 downloads per paper. 

Prof. Zetzsche has risen three places since his #7 ranking in 2019.
