André Melzer received the "Hennicot-Schoepges for Excellence in Teaching 2014/2015" for FLSHASE teachers. Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Luxembourg since 2012, he teaches in the area of media psychology and social psychology.

André Melzer, nominated for this award by his students, said he was "deeply touched and flattered".

He said that the key to success with students lies in the ability to make learning entertaining. "The students should never be bored. We have to find ways to communicate with them. Learning should be fun".

André Melzer also tries to motivate his students using new technologies ."I like to combine tools. For example, I don’t only use slides but also video clips that connect to the subject."
