PROBAL: Problem based teaching in algebra in secondary school

The general purposes of the PROBAL project are first to design and test a professional development programme (PD) focused on Problem Based Teaching with the collaboration of a small group of grade 7 volunteer teachers, and then to analyse the changes in teachers’ practices and beliefs during the training process. The chosen mathematical domain concerns algebra and more specifically the generalisation activities.
