Caroline Faber is an architect and a PhD candidate at the University of Luxembourg. She studied at TU Wien, where she graduated in 2020. Her work has received several awards, including the Archdiploma Award for her M.A. thesis „Der geliebte Feind – Luxemburg und die Wohnungsfrage“.

Her understanding of architecture has been strongly influenced by the interplay of theory and practice, as well as the social background of Vienna’s housing model. Alongside her studies, she was working in an architectural office in Vienna. After her graduation, she started working for the University of Luxembourg on the research project „Luxembourg in Transition” which ultimately led her to return to her home country to further deepen her research at the University of Luxembourg.

Her research interests include socio-spatial issues of urban development such as housing provision and the question of land.
