Roxane Schwandt joined the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning in January 2023 and works as a research and development specialist for the National Contact Point Luxembourg in the European Migration Network (EMN Luxembourg). She previously worked for European Institutions in Brussels and in Luxembourg, as well as for the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs at the UN in New York. Recently, she also worked as a language teacher.
She holds a Master of Arts in European political and administrative sciences from the College of Europe in Bruges, as well a Master of Science in European communication studies from the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Her research and interest areas include European migration and asylum policy development, foreign policy, political participation and the role of language and literature in the context of current political trends and integration.
