Cyril Wealer is postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg within the research group for cognitive and socio-emotional development. Cyril received a joint-location PhD in Psychology from the University of Luxembourg and in Human Communication Sciences from The University of Sheffield. In addition to his research work, Cyril is a member of the diagnostic team of a centre for children and adolescents with special needs in Luxembourg.
Cyril’s research interests revolve around the development of cognitive processes children need to learn to speak, read and write, and the influence of specific environmental factors on child development and child wellbeing. Currently Cyril is the involved in a study exploring mental health of children in alternative care in Luxembourg.
Cyril is particularly interested in applied or translational research in real world settings to stimulate cognitive development, improve educational success and social and emotional wellbeing.
