Bachelor en Cultures Européennes

The Bachelor en Cultures Européennes provides a  qualification in one of five specialisations: English, French, or German Studies, History or Philosophy. The programme embeds its specialisation tracks within a wide-ranging Common Curriculum in European Cultures and aims to encourage students to extend the scope of their specialisation by acquiring general academic skills and developing a critical as well as reflective approach towards their chosen field of studies.

Master en Enseigement Secondaire

The Master en Enseignement Secondaire is designed to train highly qualified teaching professionals for the Luxembourg school system. The programme offers four tracks: Germanistik, Langue et Littérature Françaises, Langue et Littératures Luxembourgeoises and Mathematics (taught at the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medecine)

Master en Études Franco-Allemandes: Communication et Coopération Transfrontalières

The Master en Études Franco-Allemandes trains experts in intercultural communication providing them with a deep understanding of the France-Germany-Luxembourg relationship. Courses are taught at the University of Lorraine, Saarland University and the University of Luxembourg.

Master in European Contemporary History

The Master in European Contemporary History is designed to provide students with high-level education in European history, covering topics such as the political and socioeconomic aspects of the European integration process, the construction of social and cultural identity throughout Europe, European migration and Europe’s relations with other global regions.

Master in Learning and Communication in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts

This multilingual and international degree programme focuses on the challenges and opportunities of multilingualism and multiculturalism in education, the workplace and new media. Students develop in-depth knowledge of scientific research in these fields and work with a range of methodological tools used for conducting independent research projects that are relevant to societal issues.

Master in Modern and Contemporary European Philosophy

The Master in Modern and Contemporary European Philosophy focuses on European philosophy from Descartes to the present day and provides an in-depth study of European philosophy beginning with classical rationalism and empiricism, moving on to Kant and German idealism and concluding with 20th century and contemporary philosophy.

This Master in Theaterwissenschaft und Interkulturalität is designed for students who are passionate about theatre, performing arts and culture. The courses cover both the theory and practice of theatre in its historical and contemporary forms.

Trinationaler Master in Literatur-, Kultur- und Sprachgeschichte des deutschsprachigen Raums

This programme focuses on German language, literature and culture from their beginnings to the present day. Students design their own curriculum according to their interests by choosing from different courses offered at the three partner universities.

Master Transnational German Studies

The joint degree programme focuses on German language, literature and culture with a specialization in the Middle Ages and the Early-Modern period. Classes are taught at four different universities including Universidade do Porto (semester 1), University of Luxembourg (semester 2), Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (semester 3) and Universita degli Studi di Palermo (semester 4).

Formation continue en Langue, Culture et Société Italiennes

The lifelong learning programme offers a historical and cultural perspective of Italian civilisation. The programme combines the study of the traditional culture of the Italian peninsula with the study of the influence of the Italian culture on Luxembourg society.
Students are provided with the necessary tools for reflection to better understand Italian society, language and culture in an interdisciplinary and intercultural academic perspective.

Formation continue "Lëtzebuerger Sprooch a Kultur"

The lifelong learning programme trains students to become Luxembourgish language teacher in adult education.Students gain an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the Luxembourgish language (spelling, linguistics, lexicography, literature, etc.), Luxembourg's history, culture and literature.
