Janice is a doctoral researcher in the Institute of Political Science. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked as a policy analyst with the Governance Commission in Liberia. Janice's research examines the rules that govern electoral processes in Liberia, paying particular attention to electoral integrity and its role in shaping legitimate political structures. Her other research interests include economic reform, poverty reduction, and entrepreneurship.

Janice holds a bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) in economics from the Stella Maris Polytechnic in Liberia and a master's degree in political economy of late development from the London School of Economics. She also earned advanced certificates in Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development from the University of Oslo; Regulation of Local Public Services from the Turin School of Local Regulation; and Financing for Development (with distinction) from the World Bank Group.
