Dr. Damien Brevers has been awarded the prestigious CORE “Junior Track” research grant from the Luxembourg National Research Fund, with his project entitled: “Understanding the neurobiology of gambling addiction in the age of online betting”.

The main goal of this project will be to advance current knowledge on how the high availability of ready-to-consume rewards in today’s environments impacts on the development of addictive behaviors. To conduct this ambitious research, Dr. Brevers will join the team of Prof. Joël Billieux and the Laboratory for the Study of Addictive and Compulsive Behaviors (ACB-Lab), at the Health and Behaviour Institute of the University.

You can find more information about Dr Brevers’ research in this recent article of the INSIDE Blog.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement and welcome Dr. Brevers to the University of Luxembourg!
