Marei Lunz is a PhD student in the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Social Welfare at the University of Luxembourg working in the research project “Young People’s Transitions out of Residential and Foster Care (TransCare)” financed by the Fonds National de la Recherche.
She studied Sociology and Psychology at the University of Hamburg (Germany), Social Work and Human Rights at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and Social Work at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences of North Rhine – Westphalia, Paderborn (Germany), where she obtained a master’s degree with a thesis on the capabilities approach in the context of young adults, who had left out-of-home-care settings.
