Tessa Lehnert is a post-doctoral researcher in psychology working at the Institute for Health and Behaviour within the research unit INSIDE.

She studied psychology in Luxembourg and Germany and graduated in psychology (MSc) with an emphasis on developmental and clinical psychology at the University of Trier (Germany). In 2018, she completed her PhD in psychology on the topic of “Speaker Evaluations in the Multilingual Contexts of Luxembourg and Canada” under supervision of Prof. Dr. Sabine Krolak-Schwerdt and Prof. Dr. Georges Steffgen at the University of Luxembourg.

Her main research interests are in the field of person perception in daily social interactions and professional contexts, with a particular focus on attitude formation (e.g., towards languages, national groups, and multilingualism) and identity formation in multilingual contexts. Her practice-oriented research interests include the development and implementation of trainings and intervention programs. Tessa Lehnert is also a certified coach in the field of conflict-coaching and self-management and a certified trainer for relaxation techniques and has been involved in different projects on motivational aspects at the workplace and the development of trainings for children with behavioral disorders (e.g., ADHS/ADS).

Her current teaching activities include courses in psychology (bachelor).
