Yacine Ouzzahra graduated with an MSc. in Sports Science from Loughborough University (UK) in 2008, where he also completed an industry-funded PhD in the area of physical activity and thermal physiology in 2012.  He then joined the Self-Regulation and Health research group at the University of Luxembourg in 2013, where he initially held a Scientific Collaborator position in the CONTRAST project, a collaborative scientific project supported by the European Union for the “Cognitive Enhancement Training for Successful Rehabilitation after Stroke”. Following a successful application for an AFR Postdoctoral Fellowship with the project ADOLEX, he investigated the effects of physical activity on emotion regulation in adolescents. Since September 2016, Yacine is a Research Facilitator in the Research Unit INSIDE. Besides providing support to researchers in various tasks including applications for funding, he also helps promoting the research unit’s public visibility using different avenues, such as the recently developed INSIDE Blog.
