Finanzielle Beihilfen der MengStudien

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine finanzielle Unterstützung, die der luxemburgische Staat Studierenden gewährt, die für weiterführende Studien, höhere Studien oder ein Hochschulstudium eingeschrieben sind und die eine der folgenden Bedingungen erfüllen:

• sie haben die luxemburgische Staatsbürgerschaft und sind in Luxemburg ansässig;
• sie haben die Staatsbürgerschaft eines Mitgliedsstaates der Europäischen Union, eines Mitgliedsstaates der Europäischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft oder der Schweiz, sind in Luxemburg ansässig und haben den Status des Arbeitnehmers oder des selbstständigen Erwerbstätigen, sind Familienmitglied einer Person mit dem obengenannten Status oder haben ein ständiges Aufenthaltsrecht erlangt;
• sie sind Drittstaatsangehöriger oder staatenlos, sind seit mindestens 5 Jahren in Luxemburg ansässig und verfügen über einen vom luxemburgischen Bildungsministerium (Ministère de l’Education nationale et de la Formation professionnelle) anerkannten Sekundarschulabschluss;
• sie haben den Status des politischen Flüchtlings in Luxemburg und sind in Luxemburg ansässig;
• sie sind Kinder eines luxemburgischen Staatsbürgers oder eines Staatsbürgers eines Mitgliedsstaates der Europäischen Union, eines Mitgliedsstaates der Europäischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft oder der Schweiz der seit mindestens fünf Jahren ununterbrochen in Luxemburg berufstätig ist und dies zu mindestens 50% der gesetzlichen oder gesamtarbeitsvertraglichen Arbeitszeit zum Zeitpunkt des Antrags.

Diese Staatliche Studienbeihilfe besteht in der Regel aus einem Teil Darlehen und einem Teil Stipendium. Der Gesamtbetrag beläuft sich auf 13.000 pro akademischem Jahr. Die Studienbeihilfe ist nicht mit eventuellen Studienbeihilfen im Wohnland des Studierenden kumulierbar.

Zusätzlich können Einschreibegebühren in der Höhe von maximal 3.700 übernommen werden.

Erasmus-Stipendum

Wenn Sie als Erasmus-Studiernde(r) an einer Einrichtung außerhalb der Großregion im Ausland studieren, erhalten Sie ein Erasmus-Stipendium.

Mobilitätsfonds

Wenn Sie als Bachelor-Studierende/r ein Studiensemester an einer Einrichtung außerhalb der Großregion als Nicht-Erasmus-Student absolvieren, können Sie einen Zuschuss aus dem Mobilitätsfonds erhalten.

Luxembourg Foreign Affairs Masters Scholarship

Please note that all scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year have been allocated and no further scholarships are available at this time. If the scholarship will be available next year is at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs' discretion. At this point, we don't have any information on 2023/24 yet!

The Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs funds a talent support programme. The Guillaume Dupaix International Master’s Scholarship aims at attracting high-performing non European Union Master students applying to master programmes at the University of Luxembourg’s, Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance.

Eligibility criteria

• Non European Union master applicants
• High academic achievements at Bachelor studies
• Applying to one of the FDEF master programmes - list available here

 Application procedure

All applicants must submit their application for a master in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance via the regular channel:

Outstanding applicants having submitted their master application will be contacted with further instructions and link to the online scholarship application form. By submitting the online scholarship application together with the required documents (will be specified in instructional email), applicants will be considered for the scholarship. A selection committee will decide on the recipients of the scholarship and the applicant will be informed by email of their results in due time. 

 Applications will be assessed by the programme directors of the respective master programme.

 Laureates are chosen based on: 

• Academic achievement
• Originality of the personal statement and motivation for applying

 The application procedure for acceptance into the relevant master is separate to this scholarship. Candidates are invited to visit the relevant master application webpage for deadlines.

Deadline: Applicants are being screened on a rolling basis. 

Allocation of Scholarship

The Scholarship is aimed at financially supporting outstanding international Master students, allowing them to focus on their academic and relevant extracurricular work.

The stipend amounts to 500EUR per month, and is paid in two instalments per academic year at the beginning of each semester for a maximum of 2 years.

Payment is subject to a performance assessment and can be withheld, for example in case of academic misconduct, poor results or withdrawal from the Master programme.

In addition, the scholarship provides free accommodation in a student residence hall for the duration of the master programme at a cost of up to 650EUR/month for a maximum of two years.

The Scholarship cannot be combined with any other type of grant funded by the Luxembourg government.

Detailed terms and conditions are set out in the acceptance letter by the University of Luxembourg. Laureates will sign a Scholarship Agreement, including a declaration of honor in acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Guillaume Dupaix Master’s Scholarship.
