Suzana Cascao holds a first PhD in Sociology and Social Applied Sciences (2018) with a focus on communication and immigration, from the University of Rome La Sapienza. Previously, she attended the Master in European Contemporary History at the University of Luxembourg (2012). She is currently working on a project dedicated to the history of Esch-sur-Alzette of the late 19th/early 20th centuries under the supervision of Prof. Denis Scuto. Her research interests and expertise include social, historic and communication aspects of migration, in particular media production by and for immigrant communities and second generations.
