Amin received his PhD degree from the Aerospace department of Sharif University of Technology for his research related to the control of space systems, in 2019. He has worked on the theoretical and technological foundations of the notion of fractionated spacecraft for various space missions and system designs as a postdoctoral researcher at the Aerospace Mechatronics group of the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies from February 2021. His research interests are in the system engineering of nanosatellites, space mission design, and control of distributed space systems. He joined the Space Systems Engineering research group, SpaSys, headed by Prof. Andreas Hein.
