Egor is a Russian citizen with a Specialist Diploma with Honors in Information-analytical security systems and more than 5 years of work experience in Software Engineering.    

During his studies, Egor participated in multiple research projects, which became the first step in his academic career. He is a single-minded person with a strong focus on cutting-edge technologies.  

Egor demonstrated leadership skills and showed curiosity about new technologies. In 2016, he received the “Georgius Agricola Scholarship” to study Distributed Systems Engineering at the Dresden University of Technology (TUD).  

In the first project, Egor was in the Ubiquitous Computing Research Group at the University of Lugano (USI). His qualities allowed him to get the "Master Research Scholarship (MaRS)" in 2018. Egor and the development team led by Prof. Marc Langheinrich created the app "Just Share It.” His training ended with the final writing of a research paper "Sharing Physical Objects Using Smart Contracts.”  

In 2018, Egor joined the crypto start-up “” as a backend and blockchain developer. He wrote Smart Contracts for multiple Initial Coin Offering campaigns and worked a crypto wallet. After finishing work in "”, Egor worked in "Gshopper,” the e-commerce start-up. In the department of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, he had a position of a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, working on the project in data parsing and price prediction.  

To achieve the desire to realize his academic career, Egor joined the FINATRAX department at the SnT in 2021. He wanted to combine his past research experience and translate the new project into reality. He was interested in the new technology of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI).   

At the moment, Egor with the research group is working on multiple research project with a close connection to the industry:  

  • DLPS (Distributed Ledger Performance Scan)  
  • EBSILUX (European Blockchain Services Infrastructure Luxembourg)
