Ghulam Jaffer received his PhD degree from the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz – Austria), in 2011. He has served academia in diversified domains of research & development and administration. His research interests lie under the umbrella of Satellite System Engineering with a special focus on CubeSat payload and subsystems development, ground station technologies, software defined radio (SDR) and LEO constellations analysis and design for various applications (ADS-B, LEO Debris, Lightning, Navigation, etc.) through the use of simulations, internet-to-orbit gateways and digital engineering (DE). Ghulam joined the Space Systems Engineering research group, SpaSys, headed by Prof. Andreas Hein.
