José SOARES holds a Master degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto.

He is an International Business and Technology Entrepreneur with more than 20 years of working experience in a variety of industries, including Telecommunications, IT and Financial services. Throughout his professional career, Jose has built a reputation for developing strategic partnerships, evangelizing new technologies, and building successful businesses from the ground up. 

José's experience and passion for Innovation and Business Development led him to serve as Head of Vodafone Enterprise Innovation, a €142bn business providing telecommunications and IT services to corporate clients in 150 countries. He is a relentless optimist, who believes there is no failure, only feedback!

José is currently the Business Development Officer at SnT, where his work focuses on developing and maintaining trusted relationships between SnT research groups and industry partners.
