Ovidiu-Cristian Marcu received his PhD degree from INRIA/INSA Rennes (France), in 2018. He was previously a Research Associate at the FSTM, here at the University of Luxembourg. His main research interests, related to HPC and Big Data convergence, are exploring new system techniques for scalable, self-tunable, and high-performance storage and processing systems at the microsecond time scale. Ovidiu-Cristian joined the Parallel Computing & Optimization research group, PCOG, headed by Prof. Pascal Bouvry
