Wallace A. Martins received his D.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, Brazil) in 2011. Since 2013, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at UFRJ (currently on leave). He has been Visiting Researcher at the University of Notre Dame (USA, 2008), Université de Lille 1 (France, 2016) and Universidad de Alcalá (Spain, 2018). Dr. Martins has published over 50 papers in scientific journals and international conferences and is a co-author of the book "Block Transceivers: OFDM and Beyond" (Morgan & Claypool Publishers, 2012). Dr. Martins received the Best Student Paper Award from EURASIP at EUSIPCO-2009, Glasgow, Scotland, and the 2011 Best Brazilian D.Sc. Dissertation Award from Capes. His research interests are in the fields of digital signal processing, adaptive signal processing, graph signal processing, and digital communications. Dr. Martins joined the Signal Processing and Satellite Communications group, SIGCOM, headed by Prof. Björn Ottersten.
