Doctoral School in Economics, Finance and Management (DSEFM)

The doctoral programme in Operations Management focuses on quantitative modeling and empirical methods. Topics of interest include revenue management and pricing, inventory control, decision making over time under uncertainty.

Admission Requirements

To be able to enroll for the programme in Operations Management we request the following:

1. Holding a Master diploma in Industrial/Management/System Engineering, mathematics, physics and engineering, or in Business/Management with focus on Supply Chain Management and Operation Management
2. Research project
3. PhD supervisor at DSEFM
4. Funding
5. Motivation letter
6. Two reference letters
7. Command of English

Documents to provide

Forms required for your application as a PhD at the DSEFM:

1. Motivation letter (1 page)
2. Curriculum Vitae
3. Transcript/certificate of all master studies (including Research Master or similar)
4. Copy of your Master Thesis. If your thesis is not in English, please provide an extended abstract of your thesis in English (3-4 pages)
5. Reference letters
6. Research project (2 pages)
7. Proof of funding (e.g. email FNR, University, or other)
8. Proof of PhD supervisor at DSEFM (e.g. email from supervisor)

All of these forms need to be sent by email in a unique pdf file to dsefm@uni.lu, other formats will not be taken in account. An application fees of 200€ will be charged. Please do not inquire about the status of pending applications, unless you have offers from other universities.
