Master en Droit Bancaire et Financier Européen (LL.M.)

Testimonial: Kolbet Jeffrey (Luxembourg)

I graduated from the Master II in European Banking and Financial law in 2010. Since then, I have been working as a banking and finance lawyer with an international law firm in Luxembourg.

The scope of the Master's programme is vast. It covers various fields of financial law such as banking regulation, structured financings, securities law, M&A, investment funds (regulated and unregulated CIS's) and many more. The Master's drilled down a lot of the concepts and it taught me all the nuts and bolts of financial law that I use on almost a daily basis. In addition, I have benefited in my legal practice from its unique practical orientation. I had fruitful discussions with the tutors, who are drawn from the very best in their fields (be they academics or renowned practitioners from leading law firms, banks and consultancies).

The proactive teaching style challenged me to surpass myself, and I made several friends through the teamwork-oriented practical cases. Studying for the Master II in European Banking and Financial law helped me jump start my legal career, and I recommend it thoroughly to law students looking for a challenging course in a friendly environment.
