Trinational Master in Literature, Culture and Linguistic History of the German-Speaking WorldLanguage of instruction: German The Trinational Master in Literature, Culture and Linguistic History of the German-Speaking World is a joint programme of the University of Luxembourg, Saarland University (Germany) and the Université de Lorraine in Metz (France). It comprises 120 ECTS, which are acquired in four semesters. The programme focuses on the German language and literature from its beginnings to the present in the totality of its historical, systematic and socio-cultural references, it covers a variety of methods and perspectives of knowledge that serve its scientific research. The degree addresses philological, cultural and media studies issues in a balanced way. The subjects, theories and methods of German Studies are treated in a research-oriented and up-to-date manner as well as in the context of neighbouring cultural and social science subjects. At the same time, a strong orientation towards academic practice and other professional fields in German Studies is intended. It is possible to obtain a degree from all three participating universities.
