The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) of the University of Luxembourg, together with the Luxembourg Institute of Health, its Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC) and partners invite you to celebrate the International Clinical Trial’s day with a projection of "Awakenings" on Friday, 27 May at 18.00.

The International Clinical Trial’s day celebrates James Lind’s first clinical trial in 1747.

Come and celebrate this day with a film projection. Awakenings, with Robin Williams and Robert De Niro, tells the true story of British neurologist Oliver Sacks, who discovered beneficial effects of the drug L-Dopa, the gold standard treatment for Parkinson’s disease.

The evening will start with a cocktail followed by the film projection (English OV, French subtitles) beginning at 18.45.

It will take place at Utopolis Cinema Belval, 7 Avenue du Rock'n'Roll, 4361 Esch-sur-Alzette.
