The 2016 edition of the Foreign Researcher’s Guide to Luxembourg is now available. The guide is a useful and informative tool which helps international researchers and their families from all over the world through their process of relocating to Luxembourg.

It offers a clear overview of the legal frameworks concerning key topics such as employment, entry conditions, visa procedures, taxation, social security, health care, as well as relevant information about housing and daily life.

New content

The guide is not only meant for researchers who come to work and live in Luxembourg but it also constitutes a practical manual for HR departments of public and private institutions to consult when they intend to hire foreign researchers. Besides, this new edition 2016 encompasses mainly four new sections:

  • Find a job in research, presenting the new EURAXESS job portal for career opportunities in the Luxembourg industrial and public research sectors;
  • Belval the City of Science;
  • Networking with advice on how to find new collaborations;
  • Testimonials of researchers to inspire newcomers.

This new 2016 edition of the Foreign Researcher’s Guide to Luxembourg, edited by Barbara Daniel and Dana Pleskotova from EURAXESS Luxembourg, features the contributions from the main research actors in Luxembourg, members of the EURAXESS Luxembourg network, Ministries and administrations.
