Here is your practical user guide to Belval Campus!

Wondering how to get to Belval? Interested in knowing more about your future life on campus? Eager to discover the new city that is growing in the south of Luxembourg? The Student Department (SEVE) is releasing the practical user guide you need:

 

“Welcome to Belval Campus” brochure

 

Students, academics, researchers and staff are invited to see what the “Cité des Sciences” has become and how to make the most of it.

Mobility

Find the travelling solution that suits you best and come to Belval Campus by bus, train, car, bicycle or on foot:

Once on Campus, walk, ride or hop on a TICE bus - lines 4, 7 and 15.

Courses

Students will be attending courses in two buildings:

  • Maison du Savoir/House of Knowledge: Floors 2, 3 & 4;
  • Maison des Sciences Humaines/House of the Humanities: Floor 1.

Detailed plans of the lecture rooms are available on every building floor.

Eating facilities

These Restopolis facilities on Belval Campus offer a great variety of products with several menus and prices. Set menus are served to students with an offer including vegetarian and healthy food choices as well as grill favorites. Sandwiches, beverages and snacks will also be available at reasonable prices.

  • "Restaurant de l’Université" - University Restaurant (near the Maison du Savoir/House of Knowledge), open Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 14.30, where you can buy drinks, menus, hot and cold starters, hot main dishes, vegetarian food, desserts and a complete garden fresh salad bar: you can eat on site or take away!
  • "Café du Savoir" (on the first floor of the Maison du Savoir/House of Knowledge) open Monday to Friday from 11.30 to 14.00, where you can buy drinks, menus and snacks to take away.
  • "Brasserie des Sciences Humaines" (on the ground floor of the Maison des Sciences Humaines/House of the Humanities) open Monday to Friday from 11.30 to 14.00, where you can buy drinks, menus and snacks you can have on site or take away.
  • "Restaurant de l’Innovation" (on the ground floor of the Maison de l’Innovation/House of Innovation) open Monday to Friday from 11.30 to 14.00, where you can buy drinks, starters, hot main dishes, vegetarian food you can have on site or take away.

Student card – 4 IN 1

The new student card is multifunctional. It can be used to gain admission to the examination rooms, the Library, and the canteen. It can also serve as a public transport pass.

Library

Students can register to the BilioLab of Belval Campus, located at level –1 of the Maison des Sciences Humaines/House of the Humanities (11, Porte des Sciences, L-4366 Esch-sur-Alzette).

Housing facilities

Two "Résidences" are currently available:

Sports & Arts

  • Register to one or several sport activities free of charge: visit the Campus Sport pages.
  • Campus Art is organising art workshops intended for the entire University community – staff and students.
